These are the traits of the specific pure breeds, however when the two mix the new breed that is pitbull mastiff mix, does share the characteristics of both the breeds but this is no guarantee that there would not exist some new characteristics, both in the sense of improvement of deteriorating. As some of breeders support cross breeding, there are specialist who state that cross breeding does little to improve the health or over all traits of the dogs; therefore they are totally against the idea of planned cross breeding.

As mentioned earlier you can't predict the exact specifications & traits of a cross breed, likewise there is no telling how this one will turn out as far as the exact details are concerned, but pitbull mastiff mix are recommended as pets.
